
Clitheroe Books Press publishes poetry pamphlets
The Press is about to start on a series of pamphlets called Poet's Dozen. The editors will be Theresa Robson and Jo Harding. The first one will be published during the Food Festival in August 2011 and the theme will be food (working title Word Feast). There will be a launch and readings in August. Submissions are welcome. Future titles will including Witches to link up with the 400th anniversary of the trial of the Lancashire Witches. Single poet collections are also being considered.
The Press recently edited an anthology, entitled Here is Where the Candy Sticks, of poems about shopping in Clitheroe. This project was co-edited by Theresa Robson and Jo Harding and in conjunction with Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce. The anthology was launched on the 16 September 2010 and poems from the anthology and others were blown up and displayed in shop windows during September.
