Bookclub

A bookclub meets at the bookshop on the first Thursday of every month. The evening starts with pizza or soup, wine, chocolate cake or home-made pudding and coffee and then the discussion starts at 7.30pm. We normally finish before 9pm

On 2 September the books to be discussed will be Eliot, Daniel Deronda and Rob Williams, Luke and Jon. Rob will be coming to the bookclub to listen to the discussion and talk about his book. The discussion will start at 7pm for this evening.

Book Launches/Signings

There are occasional book launches at the bookshop. These can be arranged with Jo Harding joharbooks@aol.com

The last book launch was Robert Williams, Luke and Jon on the 17 June 2010. Robert spoke of the publishing process, read from his book, answered questions and signed copies of his book. The shop was full to bursting and the evening moving, funny and enlightening.

Last year Jane Eagland launched her novel, Wildthorn.

Poetry

Copies of the Leigh Morrissey Poetry Anthology Slip Through the Silence, Clitheroe Writing Group's 2009 anthology Hard Lines, Traces and pamphlets from the 2008 readings onwards are available in the shop.
