Clitheroe Books Press publishes poetry pamphlets
The Press is publishing a series of pamphlets called Poet’s Dozen. The editors are Theresa Robson and Jo Harding. The second anthology, The House at Black Moss, was launched on Thursday 25 October 2014. It marked the 400th anniversary of the trial and execution of the Lancashire Witches. The first anthology, Flavoured as Much as Coloured, was launched on the 26 July 2014 just before the Food Festival with the theme of food.
From 2017 we will publish single poet collections.
In 2010 the Press published an anthology, entitled Here is Where the Candy Sticks, of poems about shopping in Clitheroe. This project was co-edited by Theresa Robson and Jo Harding in conjunction with Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce. The anthology was launched on the 16 September 2010 and poems from the anthology and others were blown up and displayed in shop windows during September.
Anyone living in or connected to the Ribble Valley may submit a manuscript to the Press and we are always looking for new voices.
