Clitheroe Books has continued to expand and diversify its stock of books in the last few years and now has many thousands of books for customers to choose from, including a good selection of New Books

WE DO NOT THEREFORE NEED TO BUY ANY MORE BOOKS.

We have an amazing selection of books already!

If you need to sell your books I advise that you do so online.

WE ACCEPT DONATIONS of books as we both want to recycle and offer choice to our customers but it is not possible to keep buying books.

Explanation:

Unfortunately, due to many socio-economic factors it has become increasingly the case, especially over the last few months, that people are choosing to browse this wonderful book shop rather than buy books (which obviously means less income.) I am, at the same time, constantly being contacted to ask if I will buy books or people are walking in several times a day asking me to buy their books. Clearly none of this helps with paying the ever increasing bills and the continued survival of this Local Community book shop.

Please therefore visit Clitheroe Books in order to view and buy from our amazing stock but do not contact us about buying books.

MARCH 2022 UPDATE:

New(ish) proprietor Paul Hamer has now been in charge since April 2020, having taken over the shop during the Covid Pandemic and has been busy developing the shop and increasing the stock for the last 2 years now. There are many thousands more books to choose from and another floor now open with the basement now also full of books to choose from. There are now more new books but also an increase in different subjects and genres in stock. Details and photos of stock will be posted regularly and enquiries and orders are welcome.
